Great place for food and drinks and views of the water were spectacular. Great for boat lovers too as it is located at the marina. Tacos, nachos, beers, and margarita’s are a must. Outdoor and covered seating with an exceptional staff and bartenders. A must do if you’re in Montauk.
This place is a total hidden gem on the waterfront. The steak burrito with super minimal ingredients was divine! The guacamole was delicious. The staff was fast and friendly. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for tasty Mexican cuisine.
Love this place!! Came on a weekend and ordered a bunch of apps including ceviche, nachos, and the crudo. We also got the carne asada and fish tacos absolutely loved it all and recommend if you are looking for good tacos / Mexican food in Montauk. The vibes are fun, it’s right on the water and the service was great.
Came for dinner. Great spot by the marina. Very chilled Friday night. Plenty of parking.
Food felt just ok. Quite stodgy. 4 burritos, 2 soft drinks. 2 margaritas $190 with tip. And for they pleasure my wife’s vege dinner has beef in it and my beef burrito was actually chicken. For $190 I’d like them to get my order right too. Please. Hence the 3 stars.
We stopped in here for a quick lunch and LOVED the food. Definitely try the nachos and several different tacos!!! Bar tender was super friendly and service was quick.
I don’t know why the new owners didn’t keep the restaurant as it was. Fun and casual. Miss the bright colors and vibes. Food is ok but atmosphere is not the same. I don’t know. They should have changed their name because this is not The Hideaway, in anyway. It’s probably ok if you’ve never been to the restaurant before it sold to new owners. Maybe I’m just too nostalgic.
We came here on our way home from Montauk as it seemed to have a variety of different food options.
The food was okay. It lacked flavor and basic seasoning such as onion and garlic. I will say their Elote was very good and they did make it spicy for us. It was $6 for an entire corn and I thought that was very reasonable. The nachos were $19 and very small. I don't eat that much but even I could finish an entire thing of their nachos. Definitely overpriced.
Vibe - It's by water and they have nice seating outdoor seating
Service - It's a self serve place. We have to go to the bar to order and go to the bar to pick up our food. I noticed other people were getting their food dropped to their table but it seemed like that was because they knew someone who worked there. Considering the price of the food I think the service could have definitely been better.
Overall, the views and ambiance were nice but I would probably try another restaurant if I'm in the area again.
While we always expect the food in Montauk to be pricey, $26 for a burrito and $18 for two tiny tacos is beyond outrageous. At least include rice and beans at those prices. Chipotle is cheaper and tastes better. I have never had more than two sips of a drink either—not good at all. However, elote was excellent, staff was nice, atmosphere is chill.
